Lydia J. Smith

I am a fourth-year Media and Social Change major at Ohio University. My goal is to foster interpersonal exchange via the arts.

During my time at OU, I have dabbled in a variety of mediums and expressive settings including film analysis, sketch comedy and solutions journalism. I have attended and volunteered at multiple film festivals in an effort to better understand how communities can rally around meaningful stories.

Through my globalization and developmental studies, I have attempted to tie in real-world issues to my creative endeavors. I believe in a thorough, international education to better connect with those from different cultural backgrounds, and I hope to continue to broaden my worldview as a cultural analyst.
